Cascade Gerontology Scholarship

Who: Community, business, and gerontology leaders in partnership with the Annual Cascades Successful Aging Conference are committed to advancing the field of gerontology. The Cascades Gerontology Scholarship is presented to an individual pursuing post-secondary education in the field of gerontology or a field related to gerontology. Recipient of this scholarship must currently be admitted to an accredited college or university in pursuit of a degree. Financial need may be considered but not required and there is no restriction on the residence of the scholarship recipient. Selection of the scholarship recipient will be determined by the Cascade Conference on Successful Aging Committee.

What: The recipient of this $1,000 scholarship demonstrates potential in the following areas: leadership for advancing the care for all elders; stewardship through actions that contributes to a community’s capacity to serve elders; commitment to furthering the awareness and education of others on elder issues; and professionalism in advocating for policies that support the needs of elders.
